Hiking in Greece

As a land of exquisite islands, ancient history, fresh food and friendly faces, walks in Greece are the kind you’ll want to repeat again and again. Well-known for its extremely diverse and rugged coastline, many of the best hikes in the country are within touching distance of the Mediterranean Sea. 

Hikes in Greece transcend the norm and perhaps there’s no better example than Mount Olympus National Park. With towering peaks and crashing waterfalls, you can see why the Greek gods are said to have lived here. Island treks include fantastic mountains too, like those found in the west of Crete. 

Archipelago hiking is certainly a magical experience and you’ll find trails, often empty, on hundreds of welcoming islands. Greece’s hospitality is widely-known as well, so you can be sure of a mouth-watering meal and a comfortable bed wherever your feet end up taking you.
